This <br /> variance seeks to allow sign size;c and number of sigrls that exceed the dimensions <br /> albwed by the present Sign Code. <br /> First of all, I applaud the Depelrtmerl of Public Works for alerting Mr. Burke that his <br /> proposed signs were in violation of This code. <br /> Secwnd, I would like to address the number of signs proposed. According to the cunent <br /> sign code, only ane legal marquee sign is permitted per street. Please confirm with FAr. <br /> Burke that the building fronts four separate streets. If snot, he needs to reduce the <br /> number of signs accordingly. Third, the current sign node clearly states the maximum <br /> size of a marquee sign cannot exnezd 9 square feet. The signs proposed are almost <br /> three limes the permissible size! <br /> In sddition, it lJlr.
