CEO COMMUNITY CHANGES <br />SOUTH KONA: <br />One NHW Mobile Patrol formed. <br />Change in lease language by Kamehameha Schools to clarify <br />consequences of drug activity by leasees. <br />Formed an Abandoned Vehicle Task Force which formulated <br />procedural changes in conjunction with county departments. <br />NORTH KONA: <br />Developed and carried out a comprehensive study of Alii Drive which is <br />in use as a resource by both community and county. <br />Assisted residents of Ka Hale Kahalu'u Housing in developing their first <br />Resident Council and expediting building repairs and maintenance. <br />SOUTH KOHALA: <br />Brought United Way 211 information system to Hawaii Island <br />NORTH KOHALA: <br />Established county -wide newsletter for dissemination of safety and <br />crime information. <br />HAMAKUA: <br />Applied for and received a State Incentive Grant for Honokaa School <br />Complex which will provide continued support to the CEO project in <br />Hamakua and Waimea. <br />NORTH HILO: <br />One new NHW formed. <br />Established alternate route system of county roads for police and fire <br />to use in unexpected state road closures in Laupahoehoe area. <br />
