Wailoa State park in©. Officers observed marijuana in ©hide at the park and <br />subsequently obtained a search wan -ant. This warrant resulted in the recovery of 33.5 <br />grams of dried marijuana, 3.5 grams of "crack" cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Cash <br />was also seized and the vehicle involved was seized for forfeiture. Two males were <br />arrested as a result of the incident. <br />Sergeant Randy Apele of the Traffic Services Section indicated that illegal drugs and <br />weapons are sometimes found during the DUI checkpoints and youth deterrence projects. <br />Additionally, runaways are often located during the projects.
