We conducted a speed study consisting of trial runs and conclude that 35 miles per <br /> hour is appropriate for this section of South Glenwood Road. <br /> We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Section 24-257, Schedule 5 (35 mile per hour limit) under Puna <br /> be amended as described in the attached draft for an ordinance. A location map is attached. <br /> Under separate cover, we are transmitting the proposed ordinance to the Public Works Committee Chair for <br /> introduction. <br /> We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment.
