What measures of criminality, rehabilitation, drug treatment and other social and health <br /> indicators are used by the Prosecutor's Office to measure the effectiveness of the County's <br /> "War on Ice"? <br /> In the short term of the federally fianded drug prosecution deputies it is very difficult to <br /> measure the effect on criminality, rehabilitation, or other social and health indicators. The <br /> two deputies will focus on prosecuting individuals and organizations distributing large <br /> quantities of ice and other drugs. Typically these cases take very long to develop and it is not <br /> unusual for prosecution to occur one or even two years later. However, once high level drug <br /> distributors are disengaged, the impact in the community will be noteable. <br /> Grants <br /> 30. What is the status of the FY2001-2002 grants or the final report for Victims of Crime Act (no <br /> notification), Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (no notification), Violence Against <br /> Women (no final report), Juvenile Accountability (no final report), Career Criminal Program <br /> (no final report)? <br /> The final report notifications for these programs have been prepared and submitted to the <br /> Legislative Auditor. <br /> 31.
