Kaya, Chief Technology Officer (REPRESENTATIVE)-and the County of Hawaii, <br /> hereinafter referred to as CONTRACTOR, whose principal address is 25 Aupuni Street #214, <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720, Taxpayer I.D. number 99-6000567 for services related to an assessment of <br /> the potential for a biodiesel industry on the Big Island of Hawaii. The parties hereto agree to the <br /> terms, conditions, and provisions as follows: <br /> 1. Scope of Services. CONTRACTOR shall provide the following services: <br /> a. Conduct a study to determine the market potential for the production of biodiesel <br /> based on current generation levels of FOGS (Fats, Oils and Grease). Such work shall <br /> include, but not be limited to: <br /> i. Assessment of the current amount of cooking oil being land filled and/or diverted <br /> from landfill through the County's diversion program. <br /> ii. Conduct of a survey of restaurants and eating establishments in the County to <br /> estimate the current amount of FOGS being generated. <br /> iii. Based on a comparative cost analysis, and review of relevant incentive programs <br /> in the state, determination of an appropriate rate For the cooking oil diversion <br /> program to create incentives for converting FOGS into biodiesel. <br /> b. Submit for STATE approval a survey instrument and survey methodology <br /> pursuant to 1. a. ii. which shall include quantification of the targeted survey <br /> population. <br /> <br />
