. • 00-40 • WAIKIKI BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT PLAN THIS WAIKIKI BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT PLAN ("Plan") was prepared and sponsored by the Waikiki Improvement Association pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes section 46-80.5, and Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 1990, chapter 1. Nam of h D;a ; The name of this special improvement district ("District") shall be the "City and County of Honolulu Business Improvement District No. One (Waikiki)." It shall commonly be referred to as the "Waikiki Business Improvement District" or the "Waikiki BID." 2. T rm of h D;s ; The initial term of the District is for five years, which is automatically renewed unless an ordinance terminating the District is adopted, in which case operations of the District shall cease, except that the term of the District cannot expire until all debt service on bonds and incidental expenses and supplemental services expenses are fully paid or irrevocable provision for such payment has been made. 3. Boundaries of h Dia ric The boundaries of the District are shown on the map attached hereto as Exh;b; ~ and made a part hereof. The District shall include the area generally bounded by the Ala Wai Canal, the shoreline and Kapahulu Avenue. There are three (3) precincts within the District that shall be called "BID Precincts." The geographical boundaries of the BID Precincts are shown on Exh;b;r i, Generally, BID Precinct 1 is the area in which supplemental services will be concentrated and shall include properties fronting Kalakaua and Kuhio Avenues and properties between these streets; BID Precinct 2 is the area in the District that is makai of, but that does not have direct street frontage onto, Kalakaua Avenue, between Kuhio Beach Park and Saratoga Road; and BID Precinct 3 is the remainder of the District that is in neither BID Precinct 1 or 2. The precincts are not service areas of the District under Section _-2.8, ROH. If there is a conflict between this general description of the BID Precinct boundaries and the BID Precinct boundaries shown on Exh;b;r i, the boundaries shown on Exhibit 1 shall control.
