CITY C~C~L ~DINANCE ~ ~ ' 4 ~ <br /> ~j CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU 31 (2000 , CD2 <br /> HONOLULU, HAWAII BILL ~ <br /> A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE <br /> RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE WAIKIKI SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT <br /> DISTRICT NO. 1. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the People of the City and County of Honolulu: <br /> SECTION 1. Purpose and council determinations. The purpose <br /> of this ordinance is to establish a Waikiki special improvement <br /> district to provide for and finance supplemental services and <br /> improvements in Waikiki as authorized by Chapter Article <br /> Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 1990 (ROH). <br /> The council determines that: <br /> (1) The proceedings establishing the Waikiki special <br /> improvement district were valid and in conformity with <br /> Chapter ROH; <br /> (2) Reasonable efforts were made to give notice to all <br /> landowners specially assessed within the district of <br /> the public hearing on this ordinance; <br /> (3) The special assessment and its rate and method of <br /> apportionment, all of which are described in the <br /> Waikiki special improvement district plan attached as <br /> Exhibit A to this ordinance, are reasonable; and <br /> (4) Written protests have not been filed in such percentage <br /> as to prevent the establishment of the district under <br /> Section -2.4, ROH. <br /> SECTION 2. Establishment of District No. 1. <br /> There is hereby established in the City and County of <br /> Honolulu the Waikiki special improvement district no. 1. Such <br /> district is established in accordance with the terms of Chapter <br /> ROH, and the Waikiki special improvement district plan <br /> attached as Exhibit A to this ordinance and incorporated as part <br /> of this ordinance. <br /> The revisor of ordinances shall insert a note at the end of <br /> Chapter ROH, that the Waikiki special improvement district <br /> OCS00333.500 O O _ / O <br /> <br />
