"Business" means a sole proprietorship, partnership, or <br /> corporation. <br /> "CFR" means Code of Federal Regulations. <br /> "Clear and Grub material" means materials consisting of <br /> rock, soil, coral, sand, and gravel in conjunction with a <br /> maaimum of 20% vegetation which includes trees, timber, and <br /> shrubbery and plants dislodged or uprooted from the ground. <br /> "Commercial solid waste" means ~1.L types of solid waste <br /> generate from commercial activities including, but not limited <br /> to, stores, offices, restaurants, warehouses, and <br /> non-manufacturing activities, eacluding residential and <br /> manufacturing wastes. <br /> "Commercial a l.ex~means a transporter of refuse made up <br /> of commercial, r sidential and industrial solid waste. <br /> "Construction and demolition waste" means largely inert <br /> solid waste, resulting from the demolition or razing of <br /> buildings, roads or other structures, and may include material <br /> such as concrete, rock, brick, bituminous concrete, wood and <br /> masonry, composition roofing and roofing paper, steel, plaster <br /> and minor amounts of other metals such a copper. Construction <br /> and demolition waste does not include cleanup materials <br /> contaminated with hazardous substances, friable asbestos, waste <br /> paints, solvents, sealers, adhesives, or similar materials. <br /> "Container" means a device used for the collection, storage <br /> or transportation of solid waste, including but not limited to, <br /> reusable containers, disposable containers, detachable <br /> containers, and tanks whether fiaed or detachable. <br /> "Convenience center" means waste handling facilities <br /> performing limited transfer station operation located at <br /> convenient areas and receiving less than 40 tons of only <br /> household or residential solid waste. <br /> "Cover material" means soil or other suitable material that <br /> has been approved by the Department of Health as cover for waste. <br /> "Department" means the Department of Public Works. <br /> "Disposal facility" means a solid waste management facility <br /> or part of one at which solid waste is intentionally placed into <br /> or on any land, and at which solid waste will remain after the <br /> facility closure. A disposal facility may also be termed a <br /> landfill. <br /> "Engineer" means the Chief Engineer of the Department of <br /> <br /> Public Works or his/her designated representative. <br /> -3- <br /> <br />
