n ~ <br /> <br /> ',i:'.~ a <br /> 4. SERVICES OF THE COUNTY. The County shall, without cost to the <br /> Contractor, through the Department of Public Works and other <br /> appropriate Departments provide the following: <br /> a. Cooperate fully with the Contractor. <br /> b. Place at the disposal of the Contractor all pertinent <br /> information and maps which it may have in possession or to <br /> which it may have access. <br /> c. Determine the areas within the Hilo and Kona Landfills which <br /> may be used by the Contractor for his operations and to <br /> provide survey work to properly delineate such areas. <br /> d. Assist in providing necessary public information and other <br /> support necessary to enable the Contractor to perform the <br /> terms of his contract. <br /> The County shall be under no obligation to guarantee the <br /> quantity of existing or future scrap metal located at a landfill <br /> or any other properties. Nor will the County be responsible for <br /> the security or safety of the Contractor's inventory of <br /> materials, supplies, equipment, facilities or personnel. <br /> 5. DEMEANOR. The Contractor and his employees shall be expected to <br /> be courteous and polite in all dealings with the public. <br /> Confrontations should be avoided and all responses to questions <br /> and comments should be polite and unabusive. <br /> 6. COMPENSATION. The County shall pay the Contractor on a monthly <br /> basis at the rates set forth herein based upon proper invoices <br /> to be accompanied by: <br /> 1. A certification indicating the total tonnage of scrap metal <br /> removed from the appropriate County location, weighed on a <br /> SPECIFICATIONS - 5 <br /> <br />
