CONTRACT EXPIRATION: At the conclusion of this contract, or <br /> upon notice of cancellation for cause as provided for herein. <br /> the Contractor shall cause all of its personnel, material, <br /> equipment and any and all other property of Contractor to be <br /> completely removed from County property within thirty (30) <br /> calendar days after either the scheduled contract aspiration <br /> date or the notice of cancellation. In the event Contractor <br /> fails to completely remove all its property, a $500.00 per day <br /> storage charge will commence upon the 31st day and, if not <br /> <br /> " remitted by the Contractor, shall be deducted from any available <br /> balance of performance bond or payment due for removal of <br /> material. <br /> 9. QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS: All bidders shall have a minimum of <br /> two year experience in car crushing, metal recovery, recycling, <br /> scrap yard operation or the like. All bidders must include a <br /> resume of their applicable experience with their bids. <br /> 10. EVALUATION: Award of contract, if any, shall be based on the <br /> sum of unit prices for the first year of operation times 7,000 <br /> in the case of Hilo and times 5,000 in the case of Kona. The <br /> option year bid will not be considered in evaluating bids. <br /> 11. OPTION YEAR AND ADDITIONAL RENEWAL: Contractors may offer to <br /> continue services as specified for an additional twelve (12) <br /> month period. Assuming satisfactory performance, it is the <br /> intention of the County to renew the price-term agreement to <br /> fulfill future needs. Contractors need not provide such a <br /> quote, and should they elect not to the lack of an option year <br /> quote will not be a consideration in making an award. The <br /> County shall retain the right to call for new bids at the end of <br /> the original contract year, regardless of what may or may not <br /> have been provided for in the option year. <br /> SPECIFICATIONS - ~ <br /> <br />
