These <br /> funds, derived from an Environmental Protection Agency federal grant, will be used to contract a <br /> vendor to coordinate and host the temporary redemption center(s) and to pay redemption fees to <br /> residential patrons for the purpose of promoting public awareness of the Beverage Container <br /> Deposit Law. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii <br /> Department of Health for this grant. <br /> Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this <br /> $3,000 grant. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Environmental <br /> Management. <br /> William Taka a <br /> Director of Finance <br /> APPROVED: <br /> C,~9 <br /> Harry Kim <br /> <br /> S,!
