Request: The applicant is requesting a Change of Zone from Agricultural 20-acre (A- <br /> <br /> 20a) to Agricultural 10-acre (A-10a) to subdivide the property into two parcels <br /> approximately ten acres in size to be used as residential/agricultural lots. The applicant <br /> <br /> proposes to construct a dwelling on each lot. Each dwelling is estimated to cost <br /> approximately $450,000. The applicant is the owner of the property. Coastal Zone Management, HRS, Chapter 205A: The entire State of Hawaii lies <br /> within the Coastal Zone Management Area. The intent of the Coastal Zone Management <br /> Program is to guide and regulate public and private uses in the coastal zone management <br /> <br /> area with respect to recreational resources, historic resources, public access to the <br /> shoreline, scenic and open space resources, coastal ecosystems, marine resources, <br /> <br /> economic uses, coastal hazards, managing development, public participation, and beach <br /> protection. The property is located approximately eight (8) miles mauka of the shoreline <br /> <br /> at the 4,200-foot elevation level and therefore, will not be impacted by coastal hazard and <br />
