juveniles in courts with jurisdictions over adults. <br /> Certain violent crimes, including murder and felonies <br /> committed with firearms, are specified, with reference to <br /> 18 U. S. C. ~ 36; <br /> (24) law enforcement and prevention programs that target gangs <br /> or youth who are involved with or are at risk of <br /> involvement in gangs; <br /> (25) programs to develop or improve forensic laboratory <br /> capabilities to analyze DNA for identification purposes; <br /> (26) programs to assist states in the litigation processing of <br /> death penalty federal habeas corpus petitions; <br /> (27) programs to enforce child abuse and neglect laws, including <br /> laws protecting against child sexual abuse, and programs <br /> designed to prevent child abuse and neglect; and <br /> (28) programs which establish or support cooperative programs <br /> between law enforcement and media organizations, to <br /> collect, record, retain, and disseminate information useful <br /> in the identification and apprehension of suspected <br /> criminal offenders. <br /> WHEREAS, the Governor has designated Agency to serve <br /> as Hawaii's office for administering the federal financial <br /> assistance available under the Act; <br /> <br /> Rev. 07/00 6 <br /> <br />
