WHEREAS, Grantee, as an agency of the County of Hawaii, <br /> is qualified to receive funds available to Hawaii under the Act <br /> and its implementing regulations (28 C.F.R. Part 33) or <br /> guidelines (Bureau of Justice Assistance, Edward Byrne Memorial <br /> State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance Program Guidance), <br /> and has applied to Agency for receipt of the same as a <br /> subgrantee; <br /> WHEREAS, Agency has reviewed Grantee's application for <br /> funds, and is satisfied that all of the requirements of the Act <br /> and its implementing regulations have been satisfied and that <br /> Grantee is capable of using the federal funds requested <br /> appropriately; <br /> WHEREAS, Grantee has demonstrated the capacity to <br /> provide the services, programs and activities described herein <br /> and is ready, willing and able to provide the required services, <br /> programs and activities; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, Agency and Grantee for and in <br /> consideration of the covenants, conditions, agreements, and <br /> stipulations hereinafter expressed, do mutually agree as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> Rev. 07/00 7 <br /> <br />
