The risk manager shall continually monitor the insurance <br /> industry to determine those risks more appropriately <br /> transferred to insurance as opposed to those more appropriate <br /> for self-insurance, as well as suitable levels of coverage, <br /> deductibles and/or self-insured retention in relation to <br /> premium costs. <br /> b. The risk manager shall formulate procedures for the handling <br /> of exceptions to policy regarding purchase of specialized <br /> coverages required by contractual relationships, other <br /> government agencies, lessors and other parties. <br /> S. Risk Management Information System <br /> a. The risk manager shall develop or otherwise acquire an <br /> information system to include: <br /> (i.) The reporting of losses, claims & incidents <br /> (ii.) A database from which loss experience and other <br /> statistical data may be effectively utilized. <br /> (iii.) Financial information regarding current and future <br /> costs of the risk management function. <br /> b. The risk manager shall also coordinate record keeping & <br /> retention with other departments and agencies as necessary. <br /> C.
