Attachment 3 <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> Chapter 7, Request for Payments (Area Agency on Aging Reporting Handbook), and aze <br /> subject to the following appropriate Federal of State provisions: <br /> c. Federal-Older American Act Funds <br /> (1) If Federal funds aze awazded, the STATE shall use T'he allocation <br /> plan contained on pages ~ of Attachment 3 as a basis of paying CONTRACTOR, <br /> provided that the STATE may reduce said amount by any carry-over funds that were <br /> previously paid to CONTRACTOR and aze still held by CONTRACTOR, upon <br /> submission by CONTRACTOR of written request for payment. <br /> (2) Program income, and interest or investment income, hereafter <br /> referred to as income, that is collected or eazned by CONTRACTOR or any of its <br /> subcontractors as a result of activities supported by funds provided to CONTRACTOR <br /> under this Agreement shall be retained by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors earning <br /> such income and shall be spent for the expanded level of services prior to using funds <br /> provided under this Agreement. Any income in excess of the amount projected in the <br /> allocation plan for the expanded level of services shall also be spent prior to using funds <br /> provided under this Agreement. <br /> (3) All payments shall be made in accordance with and subject to <br /> Chapter 40, Hawaii Revised Statutes, which specifies the accounting procedures and <br /> controls applicable to payments out of the Treasury of the State of Hawaii. <br /> d.
