Pepeekeo Community Association
P. O. Box 877
Pepeekeo, Hawaii 96783
March 1, 2005
Chairman Gary Safarik and Members of the Hawaii County Council
RE: Bills Nos. 355 & 356
Relating to Continental Pacific, LLC's Request for Rezoning
Aloha Chairman Safarik and Members of the Council:
On behalf of the Pepeekeo Community Association, I am submitting testimony in support
of Bills # 355 and #356, Continental Pacific, LLC's request for rezoning for property in
Pepeekeo.
We stand by our previous testimonies to you the County Council, the Planning
Committee and to the Planning Commission. The past 4 years have brought about clearer
understanding of our local government and its processes, exposure to the occurring
changes in the development and identity of our county and communities, and more
importantly, the role of our constituents in effecting the direction and guidance of the
communities we have invested in.
The grassroots processes, education and commitment of all parties involved has served
and will continue to serve as the basis on which trust and consideration provide the
guidance of future practices. It is our desire and intent of our supportive testimonies that
the integrity and identity of our community and our island continue to be honored and
acknowledged by cooperative efforts such as those demonstrated by the communication,
discussions and results by the Pepeekeo Community and Continental Pacific, LLC.
The Pepeekeo Community Association stands by its previous testimonies and requests
your approval of Bills 355 and 356.
Thank you for acknowledging and honoring our grassroots community participation and
support.
Respectfully,

Lorrain`J~a,
Presidy
co~,~,.
