Safarik, Hoffinan and Pilago: <br /> We are in receipt of the T-Iawaii County Council Committee on Planning's January 20, 2005 agenda <br /> relating to the above-entitled matter. <br /> Due to a conflict in schedule, of which I am ratable to reschedule, I will not be able to attend the <br /> January 20, 2005 hearing on Bills 35S and 356. The Pepeekeo community has actively participated in the <br /> above project. Given the limited time to prepare for the Planning Committee agenda items, we have been <br /> unable to provide sufficient notice to the Pepeekeo community to allow all community members who may b • <br /> interested in attending and participating in these matters. In addition, Mr. Jere Henderson, the principal of <br /> Continental Pacific is off island and will not be able to attend the hearing on such short notice. <br /> This letter will request a deferral of Bills 35S and 356 to the next scheduled Planning Committee <br /> hearing date in February, 2005. In addition, we request that notification of the hearing be provided to us as <br /> early as possible in order to allow us sufficient time to notify the Pepeekeo community and other interested <br /> parties, and to allow the Applicant to coordinate travel to Hawaii.
