REQUEST: <br /> Create a new position for an Architectural Drafting Technician I, SR-17. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND NSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS <br /> NEEDED): <br /> The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) relies on Architectural Drafting <br /> Technicians from the Department of Public Works-Buildings (DPW-B) to <br /> perform drafting services on jobs that aze relatively small in scale and less <br /> complex. The need for these services has grown tremendously due to the <br /> continued aging and deterioration of DPR sites and facilities and the growing <br /> demand for servicing by the expanding populace. For the past several years, <br /> DPW-B has been unable to provide these needed services to DPR. <br /> With this position, DPR will be able to accomplish much of the necessazy drafting <br /> services that is now falling to the wayside. <br /> This position will maintain a current data set of site plans and floor plans for DPR <br /> sites and facilities. <br /> <br /> SIGNED: ~(6'G~~fa' ~ <br /> PA'P CI G.
