LLC <br /> This is to follow up on questions raised during your committee meeting on the <br /> subject bills. In that regard, please note the following: <br /> 1. Nature of 250-Unit Rental Housing,Project (Suffolk Investment. LLCI <br /> a. One of the goals of this rental housing project is to create an integrated <br /> community. To that end, it hopes to attract all age groups (the youths to <br /> the seniors) and individuals and/or families at varying income levels. <br /> b. To accomplish that goal, while s611 addressing the affordable housing <br /> needs of this region, the applicant proposes to develop a project that will <br /> have a structural scale (2 stories) with amenities (such as a passive park, <br /> pedestrian paths) that will foster a sense of community. As reflected in the <br /> enclosed preliminary plans, the proposed 2-story structures would have 1, <br /> 2, and 3 bedrooms units. Tentatively, the living azea of these units would <br /> be 675 square feet, 805 square feet, and 1,020 square feet for the 1, 2, and <br /> 3-bedroom units, respectively. <br /> c. Ideally, the applicant would like to geaz this project to those individuals <br /> andlor families with less than 120% of the median income. Whether that <br /> is achievable still remains to be seen. In either case, a minimum of twenty <br /> (20) percent would be tazgeted at the 80% or less than median income <br /> group. <br /> <br /> 2. Traffic and Related Considerations <br /> a. The developer of the proposed neighborhood shopping center estimates <br /> that upon full build out, the project should generate a total of about 80 <br /> full-time equivalent employees.
