Unfortunately the final selection process has been delayed and our window of opportunity <br /> to have the new facility operating prior to October 1996 has been lost. <br /> This letter is to notify you of our present situation and initiate a request for extending the <br /> operation of the South Hilo Landfill for six months to a yeaz after October 1996. W"e aze not <br /> familiar with the procedure to follow to allow the extended operation to occur, therefore, I an3 <br /> requesting procedural instructions from you on this matter. <br /> Since time is of the essence, we await your attention to this critical request. The County <br /> will be procuring the assistance of a consultant for major portion of compliance requirements, <br /> however, we need to know how the start up procedure and the necessazy sequenced steps to <br /> follow. <br /> You may call me at 961-8339 to further discuss this matter.
