The <br /> original application requested to change the district classification from Agricultural (A-20a) to <br /> Agricultural (A-Sa). The Planning Committee, at its meeting of March 6, 1997, moved to <br /> refer Bill 50 (Communication 167) back to the Planning Commission for reconsideration to <br /> address the applicants' current request. The property is located in the Kaloko Mauka <br /> Subdivision at the 3,200 foot elevation, along the east side of Hao Street at Kaloko, North <br /> Kona, Hawaii. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the change of zone: <br /> In order to consider an area for any type of zoning designation, the applicable <br /> goals, policies and standards of the General Plan must be adequately addressed. It is <br /> only through such a comprehensive policy analysis approach that evaluations and <br /> decisions can be made to better time and stage developments to achieve growth <br /> determined by the General Plan and related planning documents.
