To the south along Kalanikoa Street and <br /> to the west on Hualani Street are properties zoned RS-10. To the east along <br /> Hualani Street are properties zoned RS-10 and ML-10. Further east across <br /> Kanoelehua Avenue is the Hilo International Airport, which is zoned Limited <br /> Industrial (ML-20). There are older single family dwellings located on each side <br /> of the property, except across Hualani Street, where there is an office and <br /> upholstery business. <br /> 13. Land Study Bureau's Detailed Land Classification System: Urban <br /> development. <br /> 14. U.S. Soil Survey: Keaukaha extremely rocky muck with 6 to 20 percent slopes <br /> (rKFD) by the U.S. Department of Agricultural Soil Conservation Service Soil <br /> Survey. The Keaukaha soil series consists of well drained, thin organic soils over <br /> pahoehoe lava bedrock. <br /> 15. FIRM: Zone "X", an area determined to be outside the 500-year flood plain. <br /> 16. Flora/Fauna Resources: According to the applicants, the entire parcel has been <br /> previously graded and developed for single family residential use since 1939 and <br /> 1942. As the properties have been developed with single family dwellings for <br /> over a 60 year period, it is highly unlikely that any floral and Fauna resources are <br /> present on the subject properties. <br /> <br /> 17. Archaeological/HistoricaUCultural Resources: The entire site has been <br /> previously cleared, graded and developed. Given the circumstances, it is highly <br /> unlikely that any historic sites remain on the properties. The applicants have <br /> requested a "no effect" letter from the Department of Land and Natura] Resources <br /> Historic Preservation Division (DLNR-HPD) on April 13, 2005. <br /> <br /> 18. Public Access: There is no record of a designated public access to the shoreline <br /> or mountain areas that traverses the properties. <br /> <br /> 19.
