The <br /> Department of Public Works recommends that each existing driveway be limited to <br /> ingress or egress only. No access is proposed from the unimproved section of Kalanikoa <br /> Street. Kawili Street has 8-10 foot shoulders on the south side, and 4-6 foot shoulders on <br /> its north side. The Department of Public Works also recommends full improvements to <br /> the entire frontage along Kawili Street consisting of pavement widening with concrete <br /> curb, gutter and sidewalk along with any utility relocation. <br /> County water is available to the site. The property is connected to the County's <br /> sewer line. Solid waste will be handled by commercial haulers. If required, a Solid <br /> Waste Management Plan will be prepared. Electricity and telephone services are <br /> available to the site. <br /> The property has no severe geological or topographical problems which cannot be <br /> rectified or which would render the land unusable. The project site is located within Zone <br /> "X", area determined to be outside the 500-year floodplain. All development geuerated <br /> storm run-off shall be disposed of on-site and not allowed onto adjacent properties or <br /> roadways. <br /> As the property is developed, no professional archaeological survey was <br /> conducted of the site. The applicant has stated that should any archaeological features or <br /> sites be discovered during the development of this project, work will immediately cease <br /> and the applicant will notify the Planning Department. <br /> No professional flora or fauna surveys were conducted of the site. The applicant <br /> does not believe that rare or endangered floral or faunal resources are on the site. The <br /> property is located in an urban setting close to existing industrial and commercial uses <br /> and is fully developed with a cocktail lounge, restaurant and office uses. Introduced bird <br /> species include the dove, Japanese White-Eye, house finch and mynah. Domestic <br /> animals such as cats and dogs and other animals such as rats and mongoose are common <br /> in the area. <br /> <br />
