COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO EXCEPTIONAL TREES <br /> (removes the Quinine [C'inchona sp.] tree at Kalakaua Park, Tax Map Key 2-3-05: I <br /> from the list of Exceptional Treesl <br /> From Parks and Recreation Director Pat Engelhard, dated October 21, 2005, <br /> transmitting the above bill. States that after the tree tell, it was examined by Parks <br /> Maintenance staff who determined that 90 percent of the trunk was reduced to soft <br /> cellulose by termites. Because of pedestrian and vehicle safety hazard, the department <br /> proceeded with emergency removal of the tree. The Arborist Advisory Committee <br /> agreed with the emergency removal at its meeting of October 20, 2005.
