BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Naalehu Park is the primary recreational site in the town of Na'alehu containing ballfields, tennis and <br /> basketball courts, a comfort station, a community center and several smaller structures. The site is fully <br /> developed and centrally located within the town and hosts numerous recreational and elderly programs and <br /> functions of the department. This purchase is necessary to ensure the park site is held in public ownership for <br /> public use due to the pending dissolution of the former C.
