AGING <br />AGING <br />Non -Contracted Services (continued) <br />b. Provide caregivers with access to the Internet via a computer work station within <br />the Caregiver Resource Center. At least 50% of caregivers served will report that <br />the additional knowledge gained and quality of information accessed improved <br />their knowledge of caregiving. <br />80% of clients and caregivers that accessed the Internet acknowledged the <br />increased knowledge and understanding of their situation or are better <br />informed about the condition of the person in their care. <br />c. Support, plan and/or coordinate three (3) training sessions relating to caregiver <br />issues. <br />August 2005 "Caring for Family, Caring for Yourself' caregiver conference. <br />November 2005 "Carousel of Care" caregiver conference. <br />Community -Based Planning. <br />a. Provide eight community councils the opportunity to organize, assess, plan and <br />implement strategies to address their local issues of which at least 5 community - <br />driven, health and safety related projects will be planned and/or implemented. <br />2 community driven, health and safety related projects were implemented in <br />late FY 2005. Both projects are continuing through FY 2006: <br />Personal Emergency Response Units South Hilo <br />Wellness Classes <br />Ka`u <br />b. Provide community partners the opportunity to evaluate collaborative approaches <br />of which at least 20 community partners will report that they believe in <br />collaborative approaches and that collaborative ventures were successful. <br />Information not available at this time.
