As each of these programs continue to evolve and become specialized, complex, and <br /> diverse it is imperative to provide for effective program development, oversight, and management. <br /> The establishment of a Special Operations Battalion Chief position will assure that these program <br /> direction issues are addressed as well as lay the foundation for the eventual and anticipated integration <br /> and incorporation of the ocean safety lifeguards into the fire department.
