~TV 0~ 4 <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ••rya„~M <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 233 ~}6 <br /> (Draft 2) <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF SIXTY THOUSAND <br /> DOLLARS ($60,000) FROM THE WAIKOLOA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> CORPORATION FOR THE WAIKOLOA EMERGENCY EVACUATION ROAD <br /> PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the Waikoloa Community Development Corporation has offered to provide <br /> the County of Hawaii Department of Public Works, the sum of SIXTY THOUSAND <br /> DOLLARS ($60,000) towards the construction of the Waikoloa Emergency Evacuation Road, an <br /> alternate evacuation route for the Waikoloa Village residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used towards the construction of a gravel road from an <br /> extension of Hulu Street in Waikoloa Village, makai to connect with the Queen Ka`ahumanu <br /> Highway and towards an environment assessment for the mauka portion of the portion road <br /> through land owned by the Association; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that <br /> the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends the acceptance of this <br /> contribution. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br /> OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County <br /> Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this contribution. <br /> <br />
