Brilhante <br /> Request: RS-10 to ML-10 <br /> Tax Man~e~ 2-2-35:91 <br /> The Planning Commission, after a duly held public hearing on September 26, 1997, voted to <br /> recommend for your approval the proposed legislative bill to change the district classification <br /> for approximately 10,525 square feet of land from Single Family Residential (RS-10) to <br /> Limited Industrial (ML-10). The proeprty is located at the northwest corner of Kanoelehua <br /> Avenue and Hualani Street intersection at Waiakea House Lots, Waiakea, South Hilo. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the change of zone; <br /> The applicant is requesting a change of zone to construct a 2,000 squaze foot <br /> single story building with a variety of businesses such as photographic processing, air <br /> conditioning and financial institutions on the subject property. <br /> In order to consider an azea for any type of zoning designation, the applicable <br /> goals, policies and standazds of the General Plan must be adequately addressed. It is only <br /> through such a comprehensive policy analysis approach that evaluations and decisions <br /> can be made to better time and stage developments to achieve growth determined by the <br /> General Plan and related planning documents. The implications of these evaluations and <br /> <br />
