Higa, Chairman and Members of the Hawaii County Council Hawai'i County Council 25 Aupuni Street Hilo, Hawai'i 96720 - Re: Acceptance of Donations In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, which authorizes the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal property, and with (2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawai'i County Code, which states that any donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of finance shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we request the Council's approval of the following donations: Two (2) monetary donations of $100 each to the Department of Parks & Recreation, to dray the cost of supplies purchased for the Recreation Division's Hilo District Biggest Easter Egg Hunt, by Ms. Candace Fukuda-Hanle, President, Kandi's Drive Inn, 56 W. Kawailani Street, Hilo, Hawai'i 96720 and by Mr. Wayne Fukunaga, Fukunaga Electrical, P.O. Box 4189, Hilo, Hawai'i 96720, respectively. A monetary donation of $25 to the Department of Parks & Recreation, to dray the cost of supplies purchased for the Puna District Ka'u Easter Program at Pahala Community Center, by Bank of Hawai'i - Ka'u Branch, Pahala Shopping Center, Pahala, Hawaii 96777. We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donors.
