No. 923 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 9:00 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 923, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 923, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, dated May 26, 2006, <br /> authorizes the acceptance of donations from Kandi's Drive Inn, Fukunaga Electrical and Bank of <br /> Hawaii - Ka`u Branch. <br /> Kandi's Drive Inn and Fukunaga Electrical have graciously donated $100 each to the Department of <br /> Parks & Recreation, to defray the cost of supplies purchased for the Recreation Division's Hilo District <br /> Biggest Easter Egg Hunt. <br /> Bank of Hawaii - Ka`u Branch has graciously donated $25 to the Department of Park s& Recreation, to <br /> defray the cost of supplies purchased for the Puna District Ka`u Easter Program at Pahala Community <br /> Center. <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the County, <br /> may accept gifts or donations of personal property. <br /> Also, pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(c), Hawaii County Code, any donation or gift <br /> which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance shall be submitted <br /> to the Council by letter for its approval. <br /> A letter of appreciation will be sent to Ms. Candace Fukuda-Hanle, President, Kandi's Drive Inn, 56 W. <br /> Kawailani Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720; Mr. Wayne Fukunaga, Fukunaga Electrical, P. O.
