Higa <br /> Chairman " <br /> Ca <br /> RE: Resolution Determining The Sufficiency of the Petition _ <br /> Filed By The Save Our Land Citizens' Committee <br /> This transmits a resolution determining the sufficiency of the petition filed by the Save <br /> Our Land Citizens' Committee. <br /> <br /> I commend the Elections Division staff and the Clerk for performing the validation of <br /> signatures for the petition filed by the Save Our Land Citizens' Committee. The <br /> validation process followed candidate nomination filing and political party qualifying <br /> procedures in order not to be arbitrary and capricious about their interpretations and to <br /> support the integrity of the election registration process. <br /> <br /> The Hawaii County Charter allows the County Council to make its own determination of <br /> sufficiency after receiving the Clerk's determination.
