Really so incredibly simple. Then we let Hawaii County Voters decide for <br /> themselves in November, whether or not to modify the existing Open Space and Natural Resources <br /> Ordinance by making the following changes: <br /> 1)To set aside 2% of the property tax each and every year for Open Space and Natural resource <br /> acquisition. <br /> 2) to eliminate the limit of $5 million that can be held in the fund. <br /> Over 9,000 people have signed the Petition asking just that. <br /> A lot of effort, time, concerned action, caring, determination and commitment have gone into sustaining <br /> this strong request through conflicting and changing Instructions from the County as to the timelines <br /> and through the stringent application of arbitrary and ambiguous criteria that the County has imposed on <br /> this process.
