Introduction <br /> l.l.Overview <br /> <br /> ,M The State has identified the need to increase the size of the Honokohau harbor area, to <br /> accommodate anticipated growth. Jacoby Development, Inc., hereafrer referred to as JDI, <br /> has been selected by the State to develop Kona Kai Ola at Kealakehe on approximately <br /> 530 acres of land. The development will be located on 200 acres near Honokohau Harbor <br /> leased from the Department of Hawaiian Homes Land, hereafter referred to as DHHL, <br /> and 330 adjacent acres under the jurisdiction of the Department of Land and Natural <br /> Resources, hereafrer referred to as DLNR. This project will not involve development of <br /> the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park or the existing harbor except for the <br /> shared entrance channel.
