The <br /> proposed amendment to 10.5.1 otherwise remains unchanged. <br /> <br /> "10.5.1 Introduction And [Analysis] Description, Hospitals and Related Facilities:...." <br /> TRANSPORTATION - Roadways <br /> <br /> PUNA, 13.2.5.1.2 Courses of Action. <br /> <br /> Adds "or modern roundabouts" at the end of the proposed amendment (c), to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "(c) Encourage the State to widen Highway 130 to four lanes with a median and channelized <br /> intersections or modern roundabouts." <br /> <br /> SOUTH KOHALA, 13.2.5.6.2 Courses of Action. <br /> Deletes the word "or" from "and/or" and deletes the word "an", as noted below. The proposed <br /> amendment otherwise remains unchanged. <br /> <br /> "(i) Extend Paniolo Drive in Waikoloa north to intersect with the Kawaihae Road and the <br /> proposed Waimea-Kawaihae Road, and[/or] build a road connecting the northern end of Paniolo <br /> Drive to the Queen Kaahumanu Highway to provide [an[ alternate access to Waikoloa Village. <br /> <br /> NORTH KONA, 13.2.5.7.2 Courses of Action. <br /> <br /> In subparagraph C (r), replaces the word "from" with the word "between" and replaces the word "to" with <br /> the word "and," and after Captain Cook, adds "as a Scenic Corridor, with limited access and without <br /> commercial development," as noted below: <br /> "(r) Construct the Mamalahoa Bypass Highway [from]between Keauhou [to]and <br /> Captain Cook as a Scenic Corridor, with limited access and without commercial <br /> development...." <br /> <br /> PLAN IMPLEMENTATION - 15.3 Annual Report <br /> <br /> The proposed amendment to delete 15.3 Annual Report failed by a 3/3 vote of the Committee and <br /> therefore remains within the Plan Implementation section of the General Plan. <br />
