Page 10-11, 10.3.1 Introduction And [Analysis] Description: <br /> "Fire and Emergency Medical Services <br /> There are presently [14] 20 regular fire stations, [18] 22 volunteer fire stations and [2] 1 <br /> federal fire [stations] station located throughout the island. The County is proposin¢ a <br /> fire station in the Kalaoa-Mauka area. The [Kilauea Military Camp (KMC) and] <br /> Pohakuloa fire [stations are] station is a federally operated [facilities] facili [KMC <br /> provides emergency medical services under an agreement with the County.] The regular <br /> fire stations [and three of the volunteer stations (Laupahoehoe, Pahala, Naalehu)] provide <br /> 24-hour fire fighting and emergency medical services. Kawailani, Pahoa, Naalehu, <br /> Keauhou, South Kohala, North Kohala. Waikoloa, Volcano and Ocean View Fire <br /> Stations. The County's ambulances are first response units for these service azeas while <br /> the ambulances at the Kohala and Ka`u hospitals are the first response units for their <br /> respective area." <br /> TRANSPORTATION -Roadways <br /> 4.
