<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> (7) Demonstrate to the department sufficient skill in the use of the English <br /> language to fully accomplish the objectives of the program and to <br /> comply with the requirements of this chapter; <br /> (8) Have achieved an acceptable level of skills in first aid, nutrition, and <br /> cardiopulmonary resuscitation and appropriate nursing and behavior <br /> modification techniques as required for care of all residents admitted to <br /> the facility; <br /> (9) Attend and successfully complete at least two training sessions per year <br /> as may be developed or recommended by the department; <br /> (10) Have knowledge of the availability of community services which may be <br /> utilized by the residents and operator. <br /> (b) The administrator of a Type II home in addition to the requirements in <br /> subsection (a), shall be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge of: <br /> (1) Administrative techniques; <br /> (2) Business accounting; <br /> (3) Large volume food purchasing and meal preparation; <br /> (4) Supervisory personnel techniques; <br /> (5) Large volume laundry handling techniques; <br /> (6) Infectious disease control techniques. <br /> §I1-100-7 General staff requirements. (a) All individuals living in the adult <br /> residential care home, including those who provide services directly to residents shall <br /> have documented evidence that they have had examination by a physician prior to their <br /> first contact with the residents of the home. This examination shall be repeated yearly. <br /> The examination shall be specifically oriented to rule out infectious disease. <br /> (1) If the tuberculin skin test is positive, a standard chest x-ray and <br /> appropriate medical follow-up must be obtained. A yearly chest <br /> x-ray thereafter shall be required for three successive years; <br /> (2) If the tuberculin skin test is negative, a second tuberculin skin test shall <br /> be done after one week, but not later than three weeks, after the first test. <br /> The results of the second test are to be considered the baseline test and <br /> will be used to determine appropriate treatment follow-up. If the second <br /> test is negative, it shall be repeated once yearly thereafter until it <br /> becomes positive. <br />
