The FY 2006 HSGP funds integrates funding for <br /> three programs for Hawaii County the State Homeland Security Program, Law <br /> Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program and Citizen Corps Program. <br /> <br /> This grant is a result of congressional funding for the purchase of specialized equipment <br /> to enhance the capability of state and county agencies to prevent and respond to <br /> incidents of terrorism but also supports "all hazard" preparedness initiatives. <br /> <br /> The FY 2006 HSGP funding is distributed by program dollars and investment. The <br /> investment was a "collage" of program and capability reviews submitted by <br /> Hawaii County during the application period. <br /> <br /> A synopsis of each investment that Hawaii County is authorized to allocate funds is <br /> attached with the memorandum of agreement.
