Treasurer's Report <br /> <br /> The Executive Committee received the Treasurer's <br /> Report for the fiscal period May 1 through 31, 2006. <br /> <br /> B. County Reports <br /> <br /> There were no county reports. <br /> <br /> C. National Association of Counties Report <br /> <br /> President Rapozo mentioned that, at the last Executive <br /> Committee meeting, there was discussion on the subject <br /> of HSAC support for a NACo second vice president <br /> candidate. The election for that office is contested, <br /> and the Executive Committee discussed whether HSAC <br /> should act as a bloc to support one of the candidates. <br /> President Rapozo asked for a list of councilmembers <br /> who will attend the upcoming NACo meeting in Chicago. <br /> <br /> Treasurer Pontanilla responded that Maui Council Chair <br /> Riki Hokama, Maui Councilmember Bob Carroll, and he <br /> will attend the meeting from the Maui Council. <br /> <br /> Alternate Dela Cruz stated that Honolulu <br /> Councilmembers Ann Kobayashi and Romy Cachola and he <br /> will attend the meeting. Others also may attend. <br /> <br /> Alternate Arakaki stated that Hawaii Council Chair <br /> Stacy Riga will attend. <br /> President Rapozo indicated that Kauai Councilmember <br /> Shaylene Iseri-Carvalho and he will attend from the <br /> Kauai Council. <br /> <br /> President Rapozo asked if HSAC should support a <br /> particular candidate for NACo second vice president. <br /> <br /> Alternate Dela Cruz responded that the county councils <br /> of HSAC should vote as a bloc. If supporting the <br /> winning candidate, then HSAC will be able to retain <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 3 <br />
