<br /> r <br /> • States that plan approval is required for all new structures and additions to <br /> existing structures. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> The Planning Director has reviewed Bi11326 and agrees that a new University <br /> District is wazranted. The Director, however, is recommending the following changes to <br /> the bill (Exhibit B): <br /> • Permitted uses: Addition of other uses (student health clinics, university credit <br /> union, post office, fraternity and sorority houses and student and employee <br /> apartments and houses). <br /> • Height limit: Specifies an overall height limit of 60 feet, regazdless of location. <br /> • Minimum building site azea: 10 acres, except that the minimum lot size of a <br /> leased lot may be 7,500 square feet. <br /> • Minimum yazds: Front and rear - 20 feet; side - 10 feet. <br /> • Other regulations: A maximum of 20 percent of a University District's land area <br /> may be in commercial use. The Planning Director is authorized to vary the <br /> pazking requirements for on-campus housing, offices and pedestrian-oriented <br /> commercial uses. <br /> -z- <br /> <br />
