No. 171Bi11 No. 49 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa <br /> 78-128 `Ehukai Street <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 2:03 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 49, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 49, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 171, <br /> dated February 5, 2007, amends Ordinance No. 06-80, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending <br /> June 30, 2007, by adding the following project: <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: <br /> Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant 110.699.5693.18 $300,000 <br /> Aeration Upgrade Project <br /> Funds for this appropriation increase shall be provided from: <br /> General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - $300,000 <br /> Fund Balance and/or other Sources <br /> The Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant Aeration system upgrade is required since the <br /> existing Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) mass loading to <br /> the facility are higher than design values which has resulted in a reduction of plant treatment <br /> capacity.
