Arakaki <br /> and Members of the County Council <br /> County of Hawaii <br /> Hilo, HI 9672 <br /> Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members: <br /> It is my pleasure to nominate the following named persons to <br /> the Hawaii Redevelopment Agency (HRA): <br /> • Aileen Lum of Hilo is a life-time resident of Hawaii, and <br /> since 1987 has been the Court Administrator of the <br /> Judiciary, State of Hawaii. Ms. Lum is involved with the <br /> Hawaii Island United Way, the Habitat for Humanity and the <br /> Hawaii County Board of Ethics, a seat she will vacate on <br /> December 31, 1997. She reports that she has no affiliation <br /> to any political party. Ms. Lum will be replacing Janice <br /> Harvey Yee of Hilo, who had resigned for personal reasons. <br /> If approved, she will serve the balance of the unexpired <br /> term which will end on December 31, 2000. <br /> • David K. Reed of Hilo is a 40-year resident of Hawaii, and <br /> since 1974 has been the owner of Petroglyph Press, Ltd. <br /> Mr. Reed is involved with the Downtown Improvement <br /> Association, Destination Hilo, the Hilo Rotary Club and the <br /> Elk's Club of Hilo. He is a member of the Democratic <br /> Party. If approved, he will replace Randolph A. Rohner, <br /> whose term has expired and will serve a term to end on <br /> December 31, 2002. <br /> Comm.
