w <br /> ~•l~ .S <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ••,~~0~ NAY <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 176 U7 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND <br /> FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, on January 1, 2007, the Pana`ewa Family Center had a suspicious fire <br /> that destroyed the entire contents and part of the building structure, which had an estimated <br /> loss of $500,000; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Pana`ewa Hawaiian Home Lands Community Association <br /> (PHHLCA) has requested funds to purchase educational supplies to promote a healthy life <br /> style for youth in Pana`ewa and to assist with various programs at the Pana`ewa Family <br /> Center; and <br /> WHEREAS, the prograzns that will be helped by this funding are INPEACE Keiki <br /> steps, a school readiness pazent-child interaction program for children 0-5 years old, an after <br /> school enrichment program to assist children with homework; Teen Challenge, for youth <br /> between the ages of 13 -18, and the Panaewa Hawaiian Home Lands Community Association; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionazy funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the <br /> Department of Liquor Control to be used as a grant towazds Haloa Inc. for the Pana`ewa <br /> Faznily Center for the purchase of and educational supplies; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $11,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $11,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.251.5251.39 Depaztment of Liquor Control $11,000 <br /> Public Programs, Misc.
