The d'uector of public works shall make <br /> interpretations where needed, as to the exact location of the boundaries of <br /> the areas of special flood hazards (for example, where there appears to be <br /> a conflict between a mapped boundary and actual field conditions). A <br /> person contesting the location of the boundary shall be given a reasonable <br /> opportunity to appeal the interpretation as provided in article 5. <br /> Chance in base flood elevations. R'henever base flood elevations increase <br /> or decrease as a result of physical changes affecting flooding conditions, <br /> as soon as practical, but no later than six months after the date such <br /> information becanes available, the floodplain administrator shall notify <br /> the Federal Insurance Administration of the changes by submitting <br /> technical or scientific data through the Letter of Map Revision rocess. <br /> Such a submission is necessar~• so that upon confirmation of those <br /> 13 <br /> <br />
