Project Number 03-WF-16 <br /> C O N T R A C T <br /> THIS CONTRACT, executed on the respective dates <br /> indicated below, is effective as of April 1, 2007, <br /> <br /> by and between the Department of the Attorney General, State of <br /> Hawaii, hereinafter called "Agency", by and through the <br /> <br /> Attorney General, and Hawaii Police Department, <br /> hereinafter called "Grantee". <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, Title IV of the Violent Crime Control and <br /> Law Enforcement Act of 1994, 42 U. S. C. 3796 et seq., as <br /> amended (hereinafter "Act"), was enacted to make grants to <br /> states for developing and strengthening effective law <br /> enforcement and prosecutorial strategies and victim services in <br /> cases involving crimes against women.
