16. Public Access: There is no record of a designated public access to the shoreline or <br /> mountain areas that traverses the property. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br /> 17. Access: Access to the property is from Akala Road, which is a County owned and <br /> maintained roadway that has approximately 18 feet of pavement within a 30-foot right- <br /> of-way. The City of Hilo Zone Map (Ordinance No. 187) identifies Akala Road as a <br /> proposed 60-foot right-of--way, with a future 15-foot road widening setback on both sides <br /> of the Akala Road. As the property is located along Akala Road, the applicants will be <br /> required to set aside a 15-foot future road widening setback along the portion of property <br /> that borders Akala Road. <br /> 18. Water: According to the applicants, County water is available for the proposed request. <br /> 19. Wastewater: As there is no municipal sewer system in the area, wastewater will be <br /> disposed of by individual wastewater systems meeting the requirements of the <br /> Department of Health. <br /> 20. Solid Waste: All waste generated by the project will be disposed of at appropriate sites <br /> designated by the Department of Environmental Management. <br /> 21. Essential Utilities and Services: All essential utilities are available to the property.
