IC mFR(fell IICP. .'1 rlAflk AhP.P.t ilfld AHAf.H }m tHIC rmrm <br /> Under the supervision of the Police Sergeant of Traffic Services, this lone position coordinates and snow <br /> participates in the impaired driving enforcement and educational activities and serves as the Police <br /> Department's liaison between the County, State, and community in impaired driving programs; evaluates of time. <br /> the intoxilyzer program and Administrative Revocation Procedures, and assists the Traffic Services in <br /> other related duties. <br /> 1. Facilitates the development and implementation of a County of Hawaii community based Impaired <br /> Driving Prevention Task Force to include the "You Drink, You Drive, You Lose' campaign. Provides <br /> support to other traffic related work groups. Serve as the Police Department's liaison between <br /> community organizations, Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Department of Health, Department of <br /> Education, and Judiciary System on matters related to the impaired driving program. Initiates and 30% <br /> maintains regular contact with public and private agencies within the community to encourage support <br /> and participation. Attends regular meetings and works closely with the community and other agencies to <br /> ensure that the programs are viable and acceptable to the community. (1,2,3,4) <br /> 2. Researches and initiates grant opportunities for the impaired driving programs and for ongoing <br /> support of the task force and programs. Prepares all grant applications and fiscal and program reports, <br /> and updates the Traffic Sergeant of any issues, concerns, or deadlines relating to impaired driving <br /> programs. Extracts data relative to impaired driving, traffic violations, and traffic crashes. Analyzes data <br /> to identify traffic safety concerns.
