Ms. Nicholson is a thirty-year resident of <br /> Hawaii. She recently retired as the executive director of the Volcano Art Center <br /> and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Friends of Hawaii <br /> Volcanoes National Park. Ms. Nicholson was formerly the president of the <br /> Cooper Center Council, the treasurer of the Hawaii Museums Association, a <br /> board member of the Hawaii Island Aloha Festivals, and a board member of the <br /> County of Hawai'i's Cost of Government Commission. <br /> Ms. Nicholson states that she is a registered Democrat.
